Fun and always unpredictable, the Amazon Seafair Torchlight Run features runners and walkers of all ages and abilities invited to dress in rather peculiar and very creative costumes. The Amazon Seafair Torchlight Run serves as the prelude to the Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade, so tens of thousands of spectators will be on deck to cheer participants along the parade route. There are two course options, 5K and 8K, both starting and ending in the shadow of the Space Needle.

Course Description

The Amazon Seafair Torchlight Run is one of the only evening races in Seattle. The run starts and finishes at Seattle Center and takes participants along the Torchlight Parade course. All participants will start their race on Mercer St, passing the parade groups and floats before turning onto 5th Ave, which connects to 4th Ave and all of the parade spectators. Runners will continue south on 4th Ave before turning back northbound at Spring St via 5th Ave. 5K participants will end their looped run at the base of the Space Needle while 8K participants will complete a second loop of the parade route before finishing at the same location.

Note there will not be a paper registration option for the event, online registration only.

Run Packet Pick-up Dates & Locations:

Pre-Race Packet Pickup

Date: Friday, July 29

Time: 4 pm – 7pm

Location: Nitro Plaza, 2250 7th Ave, Seattle, WA 98109

Skip the lines on race day and join us Friday, July 29, to collect your Torchlight Run race packet, including your race bib, timing chip, and event shirt.

Day Of Race Packet Pickup

Date: Saturday, July 30

Time: 4:30 pm – 6pm

Location: Seattle Center International Fountain near the race start line

If you haven’t already collected your race materials, you will need to do so before the event. Please come early to avoid long lines.

If you still need to register, you will be able to do so up until the start of the event for $45.

What Time? 6:00 pm start for all distances
When is packet pickup? Pre-race packet pickup will happen on Friday, July 29 from 4 pm – 7 pm. Day of race packet pickup will begin at 4:30 pm on Saturday and last until the race starts.
Is there gear check? No, no gear check will be offered.
Where is parking? We recommend parking at either one of the paid lots near Seattle Center or street parking within the neighborhoods.
Is there a water station? Yes, there will be one water station on course. All 5K participants will pass it once. All 8K participants will pass the station twice.
Are strollers or dogs allowed? Yes – we just ask that you stay to the edge of the course to allow other participants to pass without tripping on strollers or leashes.
Once registered, can I receive a refund? No – refunds will not given. We will allow participants to defer their race entry to the following year if you cannot attend. Please email us with this request if needed.
