Seafair in the Community

Supported by iHeart Media / Seattle

Seafair embodies community and celebrating what it means to live in the Puget Sound region. In spite of pandemic-related limitations, Seafair fans, volunteers, and neighborhoods can celebrate by giving back to the community with a positive, meaningful impact. Look here each week in August as we feature a local non-profit and detail how you can help them.

FINAL WEEK: Mary's Place August 23-27

Mary’s Place is a nonprofit organization in Seattle that provides safe, inclusive shelter and services for women, children and families on their journey out of homelessness. How can you help? Mary’s Place has many ways you can help from volunteering, renting to a family, share a building or share your stuff. To learn more visit Mary's Place (marysplaceseattle.org) Because no child should have to sleep outside.

Presented by Alaska Airlines & Amazon

During the last two weeks in July and the first two weeks in August, area neighborhoods will be nominated to win a Seafair caravan including the Clowns, Pirates, Commodores, Parade Marshals, the Champion Hydroplane Miss HomeStreet, Vintage Hydros, and other surprises. Look here early each week to see if your neighborhood has been nominated.

FINAL WEEK: The final community that will have Seafair brought to them is… FREMONT! If you live in that area, be on the lookout for the Seafair caravan this Saturday morning including the Clowns, Pirates, Commodores, Boat Club, Parade Marshals, Vintage Hydros, and other surprises.

Thank you to everyone that voted and came out each Saturday morning over the past month. Special thanks to Alaska Airlines, Amazon and iHeart Media Seattle.
