Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. All entries are reviewed by the Torchlight Parade Selection Committee.

Entertainment Value
Bring energy to the route. We're looking for entries that engage and entertain spectators from beginning to end.
Community + Culture
Torchlight celebrates the communities, cultures and traditions that make our region unique.
Creative + Professional Presentation
Entries should feel parade-ready: thoughtfully designed, organized, choreographed and presented.
Before You Apply
Torchlight is a major parade production. Before submitting an application, make sure your group is prepared for the commitment.
- Follow all directions from Seafair Parade Marshals and Seattle Police.
- Be prepared to follow the safety and operational requirements provided to accepted units.
- Maintain parade pace, spacing and forward motion when required.
- Provide required insurance documentation.
- Complete required participant waivers.
- Arrive well before the parade for check-in, staging and preparation.
- Arrange transportation and personal-vehicle parking as needed.
- Participate for the full parade route and follow all Assembly and Dispersal procedures.

Entry Fees
Application fees help support the production of the Torchlight Parade. Entry fees are based on organization type and annual operating budget or gross revenue.

- Any additional information requested for your unit type
What Happens After You Apply?
Here's what to expect.
Apply
Submit your completed Torchlight Parade application and required materials by the deadline.
Committee Review
The Selection Committee considers entertainment value, presentation and overall fit within the parade.
Acceptance
Selected units receive confirmation from Seafair along with next steps.
Participant Requirements
Accepted units complete required documentation, including insurance and participant waivers.
Parade Information
Accepted units receive their individual parade packets with unit-specific arrival, Assembly, route, safety and Dispersal instructions.
Parade Day
Check in. Get staged. Meet your Parade Marshals. And get ready for Torchlight!
