U.S. Navy Blue Angels Announce Return to Seattle for Boeing Seafair Air Show in 2027
Back-to-back appearances now set for 2026 and 2027 during Seafair Weekend
SEATTLE, WA – December 9, 2025 – The U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron announced today that the Boeing Seafair Air Show has been added to their 2027 performance schedule, bringing the team back to Seattle and Lake Washington. The announcement was made at the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Blue Angels previously confirmed their return to Seattle for 2026, securing back-to-back appearances at one of the country’s most celebrated waterfront air shows.
The 2026 and 2027 Boeing Seafair Air Shows will take place during Seafair Weekend Festival on Friday, July 31 – Sunday, August 2, 2026, and Friday, July 30 – Sunday, August 1, 2027, on Lake Washington and at Genesee Park. Guests can expect the same successful flight box configuration used in 2025, which allows the I-90 Bridge and Seward Park to remain fully open throughout the event.
The multi-day Seafair Weekend Festival brings together aviation excitement, on-the-water racing, live entertainment, food and beverage vendors, beer gardens with scenic lake views, and family-friendly activities across Genesee Park. Crowd favorites include the Apollo Mechanical Cup Hydroplane Races and premium hospitality experiences such as the Captain’s Club and The Deck, offering some of the most sought-after viewpoints on Lake Washington.
“Seafair Weekend Festival is about creating moments that bring our community together, and the return of the Blue Angels does exactly that,” said Emily K. Cantrell, President and CEO of Seafair. “Year after year, their precision, power, and patriotism inspire audiences of all ages. We are honored to welcome them back for both 2026 and 2027 and to continue delivering a world-class experience that celebrates Seattle’s waterfront, our aviation heritage, and the joy of summer.”
Tickets for next year’s festival will go on sale in February 2026. Seafair starts its 2026 season with its first-ever winter festival, Winter by the Water, on February 21, 2026. Its summer season features the Seafair 4th of July fireworks show, Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade, and community events across Western Washington.
