SEATTLE, WA — June 1, 2026 — A new citywide movement is launching today with a clear aim: to ensure Seattle gets the recognition it deserves—starting with how it shows up.

With Love, Seattle brings together residents, small businesses, and neighborhoods to reflect the richness of the people who live and work here and helps ensure that is recognized again.

The campaign, which officially kicks off on June 1, is supported by Seafair, the Port of Seattle, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Seattle Association, and Seattle Convention Center—but its voice and direction are intentionally community-driven.

At its core,“With Love, Seattle” is a platform built around “Love Notes,” short, personal expressions that highlight what people love about the city.

Across the city, these expressions are already appearing, creating a visible shift in how Seattle is experienced—and recognized—day to day. You’ll see them everywhere: in storefront windows, on social media, at events, and across neighborhoods.

Seattle has long been a city that shapes the global economy—from technology to retail to culture—and that legacy continues today.

Starting with Food, Expanding to the City

The campaign began in May with “Asian Food Lives Here,” a citywide spotlight on the people, history, and neighborhoods that shaped Seattle’s Asian food culture.

From the Chinatown-International District to Beacon Hill and beyond, the initiative highlights restaurants as more than places to eat—they are anchors of identity, memory, and community.

Confirmed participants include Tai Tung, Fuji Bakery, Mike’s Noodle House, Ramie, Hood Famous Bakery, Uwajimaya, Ringo Curry and Fuji Sushi, among other restaurants across the city, spanning legacy institutions and a new generation of chefs shaping how Seattle eats today.

The movement continues through the summer with the launch of Seafair and a special partnership to focus on the neighborhoods of the region. Unique activations will be unveiled at Seafair’s Summer Kickoff Celebration and press conference on June 1 at Pier 62.

Together, these moments create a sustained, citywide presence, building momentum from neighborhood streets to a global stage.

A Campaign People Can Actually Participate In

Unlike traditional campaigns, “With Love, Seattle” is designed for participation at every level.

Businesses, organizations, and individuals can create and share their own Love Notes turning the campaign into a living, citywide expression of pride and place. This is how recognition scales—from individual voices to a citywide presence:

John Scholes, President & CEO, Downtown Seattle Association

“Downtown is where Seattle comes together — for work, culture, sports, food, and community. With Love, Seattle celebrates the people and neighborhoods that make this city feel alive and invites all of us to take pride in the place we share.”

Jen LeMaster, President & CEO, Seattle Convention Center

“Every day, visitors experience Seattle through the energy of its neighborhoods, small businesses, artists, and communities. With Love, Seattle helps tell those stories in a welcoming and authentic way — not just for visitors, but for the people who call this city home.”

Sam Cho, Commissioner, Port of Seattle

“The Port exists to connect people to opportunity and to this region. With Love, Seattle reflects the spirit of a city that is globally connected, locally rooted, and proud of the communities and cultures that shape who we are.”

Joe Nguyen, President & CEO, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce

“A strong economy and a strong sense of belonging go hand in hand. With Love, Seattle is about supporting the small businesses, neighborhoods, and community voices that make this city vibrant — and helping more people feel connected to Seattle’s future.”

Emily Cantrell, CEO, Seafair Charitable Foundation

“With Love, Seattle reminds us that civic pride is built through shared experiences. Seafair is proud to support an effort that celebrates the energy, diversity, and traditions that connect our region.”

Katherine Cheng, Co-Founder, With Love, Seattle

“Seattle becomes stronger when people choose to show up for one another and for the city itself. With Love, Seattle is an invitation to celebrate the neighborhoods, cultures, small businesses, and everyday moments that make this place feel like home.”

ASIAN FOOD LIVES HERE

Eric Tanaka, Managing Partner, Tom Douglas & Co.
