About The Event

The Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade—now back to its roots with a nighttime start and an all-new route along the Seattle Waterfront is making its highly anticipated comeback to the evening hours. The parade will officially kick off at 7:30 PM, bringing dazzling floats, marching bands, cultural performances, and Seafair favorites to the heart of the city in a vibrant celebration of Seattle’s spirit.

Parade participants are encouraged to Light Up the Night with illuminated floats and glowing displays that bring a dazzling magic to the parade like never before.

From dragon dancers to precision drill teams to marching bands and prancing horses, the Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade will keep you entertained from start to finish.

Come early and join the Kaiser Permanente Seafair Torchlight Run or line the streets and cheer on the participants as they race along the parade route – starting at 6PM!

This event is free and open to the public!

Food & Drinks

A Seafair hosted beer garden serving local beer and wine options will be operating at Pier 62 for adults aged 21+. Ice cream and frozen treats will also be available for purchase courtesy of Seattle Pops.

Driving Directions

From I-5 North, take the Madison Street/Convention Place exit. Stay straight to go onto 7th Ave. Take the first left onto Madison Street. Turn right onto Alaskan Way. Pier 62 is on the left adjacent to Pine Street.

From I-5 South, take exit 165A toward James Street. From right lane, merge onto 6th Avenue. Turn right on Columbia Street. Turn right on 1st Avenue. Turn left on Madison Street. Turn right onto Alaskan Way. Pier 62 is on the left adjacent to Pine Street.

On public transit, the waterfront easily accessed by bus, light rail, ferry, or water taxi.

FREE Waterfront shuttle with stops along Alaskan Way, Seattle Center, Pioneer Square, the International District, and the waterfront.

Notice! Early Closure on Saturday, July 26, 2025. The FREE Waterfront Shuttle will stop running at 4:30PM on Saturday, July 26. Alaskan Way will be closed for the Torchlight Parade. Check here for updates.

Accessibility & ADA

Public elevators to reach the waterfront can be found at Overlook Walk, Pike Place Market Garage, Union St., Lenora St., and Bell St.

ADA accessible reserved seating is available next to the Red Zone TV grandstand bleachers at Alaskan Way and Union St – east side of Alaskan Way – south of the Seattle Aquarium and across from Pier 58.

Event FAQ’s

The Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade begins at 7:30PM.

The parade starts at Alaskan Way & Broad Street traveling South to the intersection of Alaskan Way & Yesler Way where the parade concludes.

The TV Zone Grandstands are located at Alaskan Way & Union Street – with seating options on both side of the street.

Our Orange Zone features seating near the start of the parade route while our grandstand reserved seating is situated in the TV zone where our broadcast partners announce the festivities.

Each Reserved Seating Zone is organized to maximize your viewing pleasure.

Orange Zone

Near the start of the Parade between Vine St and Wall St – west side of Alaskan Way and near The Edgewater Hotel.

Red Zone (TV Grandstand East)

Alaskan Way and Union St – east side of Alaskan Way – south of the Seattle Aquarium and across from Pier 58.

Green Zone (TV Grandstand West)

Located at Alaskan Way and Union St – west side of Alaskan Way – between the Seattle Aquarium and Pier 58.

Blue Zone

Alaskan Way and Union St – east side of Alaskan Way – south of the Seattle Aquarium and across from Pier 58 – Next to the Public Storage Building.

ADA Reserved

Located next to the Red Zone TV grandstand bleachers at Alaskan Way and Union St – east side of Alaskan Way – south of the Seattle Aquarium and across from Pier 58.
