Mark your calendars for June 27th! The annual Seafair Pirates Landing at Alki beach is back! A tradition in Seattle for over 70 years. the Pirates will be storming the beach to steal the key to the city on Saturday, June 27th. The pirates will land around 1:30 p.m. with festivities beforehand. Once on the beach, the Pirates will entertain kids of all ages, with treasures galore to share.
The Greenwood Seafair Parade has teamed up with the Greenwood Car Show for a day to celebrate our community. After a hiatus, the parade returns for it's 73rd year! We have a new route from 67th to 80th on Greenwood Ave. The start of the parade will be 73rd. The Greenwood Parade is a family friendly event featuring community and parade favorites. We encourage children's units to participate and feature a day of sign up for individual children with a parent to participate as well. Apply to join the parade here!
The Burien 4th of July Parade is one of the longest-running and most cherished Independence Day traditions in the region, drawing thousands of spectators to downtown Burien each year. Held on July 4th, the parade steps off in the late morning and features a colorful procession of marching bands, local organizations, floats, classic cars, veterans, color guards, community groups and more, all celebrating community pride and patriotic spirit. What began over a century ago has become the city’s largest annual parade, bringing together residents of all ages to honor the nation’s heritage and Burien’s vibrant community.
